Bios - Joaney

Joaney having grown-up in a house full of pets and living on a gentleman’s farm for many years as teenager caring for a variety of animals both domestic and wild making her love for all animals an integral part of Rainforest Reptile Shows (RRS) success since its founding in 1993. In addition to caring for and handling the reptiles and amphibians that make up the RRS family, Joaney manages all the day-to-day responsibilities of running the business.

Joaney brings a wealth of experience to RRS efforts to preserve the quality of life for human beings through education and entertainment. Before co-founding RRS Joaney worked with the elderly at Carlton Willard extended care facility in Bedford, Mass., as a dietary technician. Before leaving Carlton Willard, she took over her father’s environmentally conscious industrial and commercial cleaning business, which she continued doing for 8 years. Previously to all that she worked as a special needs caseworker at the John T. Berry Rehabilitation Center in North Reading, Mass. Not only is her Love for animals an asset to RRS but also her Love for people. Joaney now dedicates all her time to RRS improving the quality of our lives by educating about the natural world and helping to preserve our earth.

Joaney met her husband; RRS cofounder Michael Ralbovsky, while visiting her brother in Florida. They were married one year later after she proposed during a presentation at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm in St. Augustine Fla. She proposed to Michael in the enclosed habitat of “GOMEK,” the largest crocodile held in captivity. Joaney and Michael currently reside in Beverly, Mass. with their 5 children and over 250 reptiles and amphibians.
