Bios - Lance

Lance grew up in Beverly Massachusetts, and since the age of five his mother believed he would grow up to be a marine biologist. Lance graduated from Beverly High School in 2000 and excelled in the sciences, and sports.

After high school Lance attended and graduated from Wheaton College in 2004 with a bachelors degree in Biology. While attending Wheaton Lance was part of a research team that studied yellow spotted salamander populations in vernal pools, and became an All-American track sprinter. After suffering a career ending injury, Lance decided to focus in on his vernal pool research, and in the direction of conservation, which eventually brought him to Rainforest Reptile Shows.

While researching yellow spotted salamanders Lance decided that he wanted to make animals his life especially reptiles and amphibians. Lance also has experience working with younger children and has been a summer camp councilor, kindergarten assistant, and a youth soccer referee.

Lance’s mother has been a toddler teacher since 1980 and has made him into a great role model for children. Lance joined RRS in the summer of 2005 and his love for reptiles and his ability to work with children has made him a perfect fit. Lance is currently working on obtaining his certificate to work with venomous snakes.
