Polly grew up in the country in Bolton, MA. She is no stranger to the animal world. Helping care for the horses, chickens, rabbits, cats and dog on her family farm nurtured her love for all animals.
Since earning her degree in communications and plant and soil science from U-Mass Amherst she continued with her need to be close to a variety of animals by volunteering at her local animal shelter.
Polly comes to us from The Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory in South Deerfield, MA. where she held the position of Assistant Curator for many years. Her appreciation for the rainforest comes from first hand experience. She had opportunity to attend a seminar in Costa Rica for Magic Wings. She jumped at the prospect, fell in love with the flora and fauna and has since been back on her own.
We welcomed Polly to the Rainforest Reptile Shows family in the fall of 2003. She enjoys hiking, camping, reading, yoga, music, traveling and most of all her two cats.
